Burberry is the quintessential British fashion house- classic and sophisticated but with a touch of edge (especially since the amazing Christopher Bailey took the reins of the company in 2001). The same can definitely be said for their new S/S 2012 makeup collection.
While I am a fan of seeing makeup brands going a bit crazy with colour- it does make life more interesting after all- I do admire Burberry's commitment to stick with a more natural colour palette, reminiscent of their famous camel hued trench coats and signature tartan print. The high-quality (and subsequently highly-priced) ingredients give a superior feel to their liquid foundations and a smoother texture to their eyeshadows and blushes. Burberry Beauty is a case of classic, never-go-out-of-fashion colours being elevated out of the ordinary by superior formulations.
My picks from the S/S collection to give you that naturally gorgeous look are:
Sheer Concealer, to hide any annoying blemishes and under eye circles, while the light reflecting particles make your skin look fresher and more even-toned.
Light Glow in Blossom Blush, a sweet peachy colour to give you naturally pretty glowing skin.
Lip Glow in Nude Rose, to give a hint of colour and a shiny finish to enhance your lips without being over-the-top.
Lip Cover in Primrose Hill Pink, for when you want to enhance your natural lip colour and prefer a less shiny finish.
Have a beautiful week!
